VDC is working on a mixed-rent development in Overbrook, Ottawa, targeting at least 30% of units to be rented at affordable rates, Tier 2 NECB energy efficiency, and 15% of units being accessible in accordance with CSA standard B652. The combination of 10 one-bedroom units and 11 three-bedroom units will be within a short walking range from schools, parks, recreation centres, parks, healthcare services, and a light-rail transit station. This project aims to support affordability for those in the greatest need, with a particular focus on those experiencing Core Housing Need (CHN) and families with marginalized backgrounds.
